  • Basic Archery Course 2009
    Written @ 11:49 AM
    HI TO ALL NEW MEMBERS

The Basic Archery Course that is necessary for all who have interest in Archery will be conducted beginning from next week by our Coach Jaffar. This course includes both theory and practical classes. It costs $75 which include your certification, the course, accessories (arm guard & finger tab) and the course tee.

A certificate will be issued upon completion of the course and passing of both the theory and practical tests. Not to worry much for the passing of the test, so long as you attend the class and understand the basic, you'll do well. To our understanding, none has failed before! With this certificate, you will be able to continue shooting externally or even after graduating.

The first class for all will be on the 29th April, Wednesday. This is the only theory class that will be conducted for all by the coach. It will be held at LT L-3 from 4pm-6pm. Those who have class and are unable to make it due to class, do leave a message to us or you may join in after your class at 5pm.

For those who have not sign up but are interested, you may email us at nyparchery@gmail.com with your particulars. Alternatively, you can turn up for the theory class on Wednesday and sign up.

    The available practical classes are:

    Monday - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
    Wednesday - 4pm to 6pm or 6.30pm to 8.30pm

The first practical class will begin at 4 May for Monday class and 6 May for Wednesday.

For any clarification, feel free to contact any members of the club or email us.

    Thank you!

    Note to all members:
Trainings will resume on Monday. Please come down for training especially those who are going for SP Open.

    Hi all,

Hope everyone had fun yesterday be it the forfeits, games and BBQ. Photos will be uploaded soon...

After taking a break from training to have some fun together, its time to focus on important stuff once again.
Club Crawl is coming up very soon, so is the orientation and many more other stuffs.
As mention many times, we need the cooperation from everyone so that things can proceed smoothly.
Hence, everyone especially the sub-committee, please be prepared to stayback after training next week to prepare the stuff for club crawl. Attendence is COMPULSORY! If you are unable to make it, kindly inform us. Failure to do so shall face serious consequences!

Also, kindly send your time-table schedule to the club mail if you have not done so yet.

    Archers,

Please note that instead of doing up the design for club crawl tomorrow, we would be doing up the designs on Thursday instead. We are meeting at 10am at Ang Mo Kio Station to get the stuff needed first. Whoever is free, kindly come down and help.

Also since Friday is Good Friday, Public Holiday, there would be no training.

Saturday is the outing!!! Excited? We would be meeting at Pasir Ris Station at 10am for breakfast together before we proceed on with the activities we have planned out for you all.
Attire: Sports Wear[NYP Archery Club Shirt(Blue), Shoes]

Please bring along your slippers and extra set of attire for you to change into afterwards as you wouldn't want to go BBQ when ur dirty already would you?
Last but not least, lets all thank Jolene for providing the place for the BBQ. =)

    Games Trial
    Written @ 6:15 PM
    Archers,

Please be reminded that tomorrow, 4th April 2009 is the games trial however it would only be held in the afternoon which means training is still on in the morning. This would be the only day where the games will be tested and clarified if you have any doubts. All members must be familiarized with the games. Therefore, kindly turn up if you are unsure of how to play the game.
You may wish to bring an extra set of clothes since we have wet games.

    Sub-Committee,
Proposal for Orientation 2009 to be printed out in hardcopy and send your minutes of meeting to us. Thank you very much.
